Looking back, Summer 2000

I just came across an old disc with a bunch of photos from one of my first extended raft trips with family and friends. Here's some fun pictures from my first days in an (inflatable) kayak on the Green River, Utah, 2000. This was also the first time that I ever sat in a hardshell kayaking, loving the feeling since I first sat in it. Ever since I was born I spent lots of time on the river, my dad Jim Wells had a company in Alaska called Alaska Wildland Adventures and was one of and still is my favorite places to spend time. I grew up floating down the Kenai river, where my dad's company was based off of and spent many summer days on that river fishing and learning out to read water and row a raft.
