The Wind River

One day after work my brother and I decided to go meet up with friends from Portland and paddle the Wind River. This was a new river and I was really excited about finding a new spot to paddle. There was some fun but challenging rapids like the flume and throughout the whole run there was boulder gardens and low water everywhere. We finally got into the set of three falls and a slide. This is the part that I was looking forward to the most. They were all straight forward and pretty simple, the first one is about a 14 footer, then it goes into a 15+ footer, a 20+ slide, then a low head dam. We all got out and ran the set twice although it was getting dark. Luckily we were off the water right at nine so we managed to find the way to the car.
